Qatar 2022: A terrible draw for the Blues?

The latest results of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers (but also of the CAN) draw a little more the possible hats for the April 1 draw. The France team will be among the top seeds.

The French team of Didier Deschamps already knows the selections that it will not face in the first round of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The European qualifiers gave the composition of Pot 1 of the draw on April 1 in Doha. The Blues will be seeded with the host country, Belgium, Brazil, Argentina, England, Spain and Italy or Portugal (who could face each other in the play-offs).

The African Cup of Nations and the results of the (unpublished) international window at the end of January will update the Fifa ranking which will probably be used in the draw. The 2018 world champions led by Karim Benzema could fall on the heavy in hat 2, where Germany accompanies Denmark, the Netherlands and Switzerland. Only European nations can find a representative of their confederation.
